These are newsletters that I've written about travel experiences.

I took a two year trip in 1991 and 1992 and went to: Fiji, New Zealand, Australia, Indonesia, Singapore, Borneo, Malaysia, Thailand, Nepal, India, Sri Lanka, the Maldives, Pakistan, China, Tibet, Mongolia, Russia, Turkey, Greece, Israel, Egypt, Jordan, Syria, and England.

The letters, in chronological order:

It's the Down Under Update!
New Zealand
: Trekking the Abel Tasman trail and the Route Burn. Lobster and butter sandwiches on white bread.
(Feb 12, 1991)
Australia and Indonesia
Australia, Indonesia
: diving in the Great Barrier Reef, traveling from Flores to Lombok by fishing boat.
(Jun 10, 1991)
The Dave Adair Memorial (Almost) Newsletter
: Crossing the width of the island, mostly by boat, but we had to walk for five days over the interior mountains. Relatively interesting!
(Jul 24, 1991)
The David B Adair Memorial (Almost Again!) Newsletter
: Cave Drowning Edition! I didn't actually drown, but you won't know it until the very last paragraph. A real page-turner (I mean mouse-clicker!)
(Oct 8, 1991)
The David B Adair Not Memorial This Time Newsletter
: Oh, so much trekking. A 30 day trek around the Annapurna Circuit and Annapurna Sanctuary, and a 10 day trek in the Langtang area.
(Jan 9, 1992)
The What Am I Still Doing Traveling Newsletter
India, Sri Lanka
: A Sri Lankan exorcism, Indian mayhem - much wailing and gnashing of teeth.
(May 15, 1992)
The I Thought You Were Supposed to be Home By Now Newsletter
Pakistan, China
: Taking the Karakoram Highway through the mountain passes of Pakistan into the far western reaches of China.
(June 30, 1992)
The I Don't Think We're In Kansas Anymore Newsletter
Tibet, China, Mongolia, Russia
: Sneaking into Tibet, incredible Tibetan festivals, crossing China, the Trans-Siberian train through Mongolia and into Moscow.
(October 4, 1992)
The It's Not the Same World as it Used to Be Newsletter
Russia, Turkey, Israel, Egypt, Jordan, Syria: Traveling by train and across the Black Sea into Turkey. This letter was never finished.
(Apr, 1993)
The What Makes You Think We're Interested Newsletter
Nepal (again): Trekking in the Everest region, working in Kathmandu. I was in Nepal for four months and India for two months. Relatively graphic concerning bodily functions!
(Feb, 1995)
